A Side Event is an event organized exclusively by a Permanent Mission or an International Organization. Side Events are usually not artistic in nature, but have more informative or documentary content. A prerequisite for a Side Event is that it has to be linked to an ongoing conference or a meeting held at the Palais des Nations, and that the Secretariat of that conference/meeting approves the event.
Once the Secretariat of the conference/meeting has approved the proposal as a Side Event to that conference, the Cultural Activities team takes over the coordination of the event, providing organization, installation and sound equipment for speeches.
Due to limited number of venues, we recommend that you submit you proposal as soon as you have a date in mind for a pre-reservation of the space.
