Answer

Are the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF) Papers microfilm archives available online?

Yes. UN Archives Geneva holds a copy of the 114‑reel microfilm collection of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF) Papers, covering the period 1915–1978.

This microfilm collection has been fully digitized by UN Archives Geneva, and the documents are available online via the UN Archives Geneva platform.

The microfilm edition of the WILPF Papers is made available to the scholarly community with the consent and cooperation of the WILPF.

This collection represents one segment of the broader WILPF Archives, which are dispersed across several institutions, mainly in the United States and Europe. A detailed inventory of WILPF archival holdings is available on the WILPF website: https://www.wilpf.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/WILPF-Archives-2.pdf.

Related to the WILPF archives, researchers are also invited to consult the private papers of Edith Ballantyne, who served as WILPF Secretary General (1969–1992) and later as President (1992–1998). These archives were largely created or collected by Edith Ballantyne in the course of her work for WILPF and for the Conference of Non-Governmental Organizations in Consultative Relationship with the United Nations (CoNGO) between 1969 and 1999.
The collection has not been digitized; however, its description is available on the UN Archives Geneva platform.
