Which services are the UN Library & Archives Geneva currently providing?

The UN Library & Archives Geneva is open Monday to Friday. 

Starting 22 April 2024 and until further notice, the building of the Library & Archives and the UN Museum Geneva, will be closed.

We will welcome researchers in temporary spaces at the Palais des Nations, upon request.

Researchers are invited to contact us at ask.unog.ch

Please note that from 29 April to 31 May 2024, a limited number of consultation desks will be available for Library users.

 

Below is an overview of our current Library & Archives services


Our Online Services

 

Our On-Site Services (as of 22 April 2024)

  • Library print materials consultation at the Salon des délégués (Library reading room). Materials have to be requested at least 48 hours ahead of your visit at ask.unog.ch.
  • Bring your laptop, or mobile device. Only 2 workstations are available on site at the Library.
  • Book pick up at the Salon des délégués.
  • Books returns in person at the Salon des délégués (dropboxes at Door 40 and Door C21 are available 24/7).
  • Room VI (Archives reading room) is accessible by appointment made at ask.unog.ch.
  • Records management services can be requested.
